I have always enjoyed playing with lines, curves, and contours and this little cow skull provided a wide forehead space for the main focus of this piece – a large and colorful butterfly, or what I like to call a ‘Flying Flower’. This skull was missing the nasal bones when I got it. But, instead of losing canvas space, I gained a gap for my flying flower’s wings and a niche area that provided perfect contours for a more elusive flying flower!
